I admire bloggers. I admire people that can put it all out there and share. The most mundane things take on a new life when they are shared. It isn't always so obvious. I know for a fact that I don't like to share things like a Burgerville Strawberry shake, but it really is more satisfying when I give my daughter a little sip and she gives me a kiss on the cheek, her lips still cold from the delicious frozen confection. I can't imagine not sharing the last 24 years of my life with my husband and sharing a laugh with good friends simply takes the cake.
It's been a crummy year for all of us at school. I have cried tears of fear and insecurity about my own position as well as tears for my friends as they struggle with the uncertainty of it all. But this blog is not about that. Those will be the last words about all of the nasty business going on. This is a blog dedicated to finding joy. Joy in our lives, joy in our work, joy in ourselves. They say "Misery loves company", surely, Joy relishes a crowd as well. Well, yes, and stop calling me Shirley...sorry- I couldn't resist.
