Kickin' Hunger

What an awesome Saturday. Now this is what I'm talking about.
Woke up earlyish (6am) and went to swim but the pool was closed (AGAIN!) but no need to fear, completed assbusting workout anyway. Took Baloo to the pond for a walk (darn! forgot camera for obligatory Baloo shot) and saw Osprey, Sharpshinned Hawk and gorgeous Great Blue Heron. (sorry about no pics here).

Then off to Laurelhurst for some perusing of the fine people's wares at the giant neighborhood garage sale. Scored some great bricks for the new patio Kieran's working on, some really cute Chinese cookie earrings, this cute little brass snail that now resides in my herb garden

and this....

Yes, this adorable tea set with moon window cut outs. I'm in love, I seriously hyperventilate when I score something this cute. I know what your thinking..."you freakin' nerd!". But seriously, I'll have you over for tea sometime. You'll love it.

Finally, (and it's only 3pm) Kieran and I head up to Overlook Park in NoPo for the Kicking Hunger fundraiser/Guinness Book of Records attempt at the longest Kickball game. Our friends Heidi and Shaun are playing and it runs from 10am this morning until 6pm tomorrow night. Crazy! Gotta love Heidi, she's a kick (hahahaha).

Turns out Peggy's son Conner is playing with his band there as well (G-spot) and they're a really good time.

AND we had some super yummy teriyaki soba dish from a vendor there...Local Grinds, I think they were called. Super yummy.

and it's only 3:30...
